Today, we found the new Motorola Q music 9m on the Verizon website. However, we found the page is very unstable. It shows in the morning but sometimes it shows "Page is not currently available". Seems like they are not really ready to release this new device.
For pricing, it is $249.99 with a 2-yr contract and an online discount.
As this Music 9m is exclusive for Verizon, it has 2 special designed home screen you can choose from.
1. The exclusive multimedia home screen - along with the thumbwheel and center navigation key, this allows the user to maximize the V CAST Music experience.
2. Standard home screen - this offers one-touch access to voice, email and Text messages.
The Q 9m equiped with WM6 OS and the new Bluetooth stereo wireless technology. Motorola remains the standard of the same memory card format by using miniSD and it supports up to 4GB. All the users who would like to upgrade from their current Motorola Q can use the same memory card. However, the disappointment is on the 1.3megapixel camera/camcorder with flash. Also, the thickness of the Q 9m is little bit thicker than the old Q by 0.4mm and the weight is heavier at 4.76oz to compare with 4.1oz.
With the above pros and cons, the new Q 9m and the old Q are basically head to head. Except the new WM6, the new device does not have much improvement. I will suggest to wait until the new Q 9m arrives to the store and have an actual feel of the device and compare before you pay for the upgrade.
