Engadget has reported the leak from Sprint about the 4 new upcoming phones which are due in Q4, 2007.
First, we have the HTC Touch, which is made for competing with the Apple iPhone. Although we are not very impress about the HTC Touch which we tested on with a GSM version, the CDMA version will be equiped with the EVDO connectivity which can have a much faster internet connection than the GSM EDGE version.
Then We have the Blackberry Pearl 8130. This is another phone that had a GSM version. This CDMA version of Pearl also has the EVDO but the leak did not mention it has the WiFi connectivity as we saw over the internet. However, this 8130 has the GPS capability which is a huge improvement from the 8100 GSM version.
After that we have the Palm Centro. The Centro was marketed as an entry level phone which will have a $99 with contract pricing. As the slimmest Palm OS phone, the Centro has built-in Sprint TV features. It will be one of the great phones for entry level users.
Last but not least, the LG RUMOR. We did not see any OS spec for this device, but I don't think LG has adopted either Windows or Palm OS for any of their handsets yet. This LG RUMOR is the best for high school students who use the FaceBook and MySpace a lot. With the QWERTY keyboard, this is going to be a favorite for those people who like texting a lot.
