Palm announced Treo 500v

Palm has finally released their announcement on the 12th Sept, 2007.  As all of us expected, the Treo 500v is announced and be available for Vodafone in October.

This phone comes in 2 colors, Charcoal and White.  Surprisingly it is going to have Windows Mobile 6 on it.  (Possibily European does like Palm OS)  Equiped with the 3G/UMTS data, it is going to be perfect device for most light PDA users.  As stated, this phone does not have Touch screen and it will not support the regular WM6 software.  It will only do whatever a Dash, Q or Blackjack can do, which is the Smartphone WM6 software.  Nicely, it have a 2megapixel camera and a stunning 256MB onboard memory with 150MB user accessible.  In additional, this Treo 500v comes with a microSD slot for memory expansion.  Bluetooth 2.0 is a must have for all new devices.

It is going to be a head to head competition with the Samsung and HTC smartphones.
